September ipsy bag review

Yes I love me some ipsy bag!!! I have been signed up since December 2012 and I love it! This month I got some great stuff, some ok stuff, and some stuff that made me think ....really this is what you chose to promote !

*First let's address this bag situation...I don't hate it, I don't like it, and I don't really know what to think about it. I just don't know what to think about it...but hay it's free, and it's another cosmetic bag for me to use for something so I'm cool with it ;]

*Next is the Cailyn tinted lip balm. LOVE!!!! this stuff. This stuff feels like a lip balm but is opaque and looks like a matte lipstick. It is a little pricey but the product goes a long way! Above I had been wearing it for 6 hours and did not have to reapply once. And the picture of the transfer was taken about 10 minutes after it had set.

*NYX single eye shadow in a beautiful dark grey purple color [ I have no idea what color it is so sorry I FAIL!] . Do I even need to say anything about nyx ? I shouldn't. This stuff lives up to the hype. It is so pigmented and cheap ! The only thing I love more then the day after thanksgiving sales, is makeup that is just as good as a high end brand for less then half the price. Love this color as well! Perfect for going out for a night out.

*Starlooks Obsidian Khol Eye Pencil- I like this pencil, I wouldn't say I love it but I do like it and will definitely be using it. Pro's,  it goes on quite easily and it's not too soft like most Kohl liners.. Con's , it's not the blackest liner in the world and it needs to be set or it won't last all day. I don't know if I will use it as an eyeliner because I do have slightly oily lids, but I will use it to define my lash line . In the picture above I did use it as an eyeliner and it was on for about 6 hours here, It didn't fade much , but it did keep dripping down the outer corner of my eyes.

*Victoria Jackson Taupe Brow Pencil Ok so personally I DO NOT like this eyebrow pencil. I have thick eyebrows and this stuff does not color it in, it coats it, as you can see in the picture. It truly feels like I just painted my eyebrows with an ink pot. I have nothing more to say about this one. I wish I could have got a pic of this but it would not photograph the true thickness of it.

*Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara Not much to say about this one either. It's not as voluminous as I would like, it flakes, and I am not a fan of the brush. I think that just about sums it up! In my picture involving my eyeliner I am wearing the mascara. As you can see it transferred and caused what looked like a shadow under my lower lashes but that is actually the mascara. I had just wiped the fall out with out thinking. But there is a substantial amount of fall out.

JewelMint Set in Stone Earrings Review !!!

Click here if you would like to check out the earrings or see what jewelmint is all about

Now first off I have medium sized ears but my earlobes are the dangly type so I tend to love either large stud like earrings or dangling earrings. These earrings are amazing!!!! They are so well made but at the same time very light. So very blingy but at the same time simple enough to wear with something casual. I ended up paying a first and only time offer of $8.99 because it was my first order. I can say now that I definitely plan to stay subscribed to this site! LOVE YOU JEWELMINT!!!

Family pics on our sunday adventure to the park and yogurt city :]

Well our weekends lately are very slow due to my hubby being busy. So we tend to get out of the house pretty late and are only able to stay out for a few hours before having to come home to cook dinner :] But we definitely try to have as much fun as possible when we can :] Here are some pics I wanted to share of the 2 most amazing people in my life :]

My little mini me decided to pick us both some wishes or as my husband would call them weeds LOL. She picked quite a few before she found a spider on one and ran for her life !!!

After the park we decided to go get some yummy frozen yogurt at yogurt city My little mini me and I got pumpkin pie flavored frozen yogurt. She topped her with oreo's and well I of course chose crushed graham crackers :] YUM!!! There was one called maple bacon donut, and I asked my husband to get me a sample because I thought hay it can't be that bad. I WAS SO TERRIBLY WRONG!!! It was disgusting ! We had our little one try it and she had the same reaction I did. I will try to attempt to upload the video down below so if it is down there you must watch the hilarity of it all unfold :]  Oh and as you can see she decided she wanted to be a grown up and sit all by herself at the bar area LOL Love her so much!

Well folks that was a look into a few hours of our life :] I will definitely try to keep up with pics and stuff that happens in our little family. Not saying it's all that interesting but for all my family and friends who would like to keep up on whats going on , this is for you! Mommy especially you!

Feeling Pumpkin[ee] Fresh !!!

So for the last month I have been using this beautiful skin care that smells of yummy pumpkin and sweet potato !!!! What is it you ask. It's the Michael Todd's Pumpkin Mask Nutrient Facial Mask . I love this stuff so much. I received it last month in my lovely ispy bag. Plus not only is the product organic but it is animal cruelty free! I seriously can't express my love for this enough ! I have very terrible dry patches all through out my skin and with this my skin literally feels like the bottom of a baby's foot ,and even hydrated after I use it. Now this baby definitely tingles when you put it on for the first minute or so, but that's how you know it is exfoliating that beautiful face of yours. After one month I have used it 5 times and am only to the half way mark of my 1oz. sample. This stuff is $34.00 and I would say worth every penny. This is definitely a product that will be permanently staying in my skin care routine , ESPECIALLY with winter around the corner. You know dang well my skin is going to be all kinds of THIRSTY!!!! Well ladies and gents that is it for this review . Hope I was able to sway some of you to purchase this and if you do I hope it works out in your favor! xoxo

My top 3 morning pick me ups

Everyone has a morning pick me up. You know that one thing that just puts you in a wonderful mood. For example yoga, blasting the stereo on the way to work, a quick pick me up from your local coffee stand, you get where I am going with this right ? Well I definitely have my favorite morning pick me ups [ More like anytime pick me ups] I narrowed it to my top 3 favorites!!! Hope you enjoy and please feel free to share your morning pick me ups in the comments below.

1. Meiko Radio on Pandora.

I am not always in the mood for mellow music, I love a little bit of everything, it just depends on the mood I am in, just like most people. But when fall rolls around I have a few favorites to get me started out right and smiling.
This radio station has the best kind of happy relaxing music. Aside from the fact that I love Meiko all on her own, they also play artists like A Fine Frenzy, Joshua Raiden, Lenka, Jack Johnson, Ingrid Michaelson, Priscilla Ahn and the list can go on and on with wonderful sounds! For me nothing can get me in a great mood like some amazing music!

2. Tea and Coffee and Hot Cocoa OH MY!

Top left: My daughter and I having a hot cocoa date; Right : Me and my awesome coffee in mug from the hubby; Bottom left:
The back of my cute panda mug LOVE IT!

This is such a hard decision for me in the morning, During summer and fall I tend to go for tea or coffee, but winter [ MY SECOND FAVORITE SEASON] is hot cocoa for me. It just warms me up so good in the morning! Now as for preference of tea, coffee, and hot cocoa that's a hard one. If I have time I will actually brew up a batch of chai tea really quick, but if not I just like to pop in any black tea with a pop of sugar and milk. Coffee is yummy but I try to stay away from that unless I am exhausted! I usually keep it pretty simple. I like to drink a good breakfast blend with some french vanilla or a package of dark chocolate hot cocoa mixed in. And last but certainly not least HOT COCOA!!!! My absolute favorite hot cocoa recipe is  pumpkin spice white chocolate home made hot cocoa with LOADS of whipped creme ;p mmmmmm yummay! Click here if you would like to be directed to my source. Mind you I did alter it a little for my liking .

3. Candles.

I am a candle person all the way. I have done the house plug ins and scentsy warmers and although they were great, there is just something about candles that make me feel wonderful. I do tend to stock up on the same scents to last me all year . My go to scents are Leaves, Winter, Fireside, and Evergreen from Bath and Body Works. OH and a new favorite is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin ! It seriously smells like pumpkin pie ! Now Winter, Fireside, and Evergreen are winter scents so I can't put a link to those yet but when they do I will be posting about it . And just a little FIY I buy the B&BW brand candles not the White Barn. Although White Barn has amazing scents they just burn sooooooooo fast.

Well there it is my top 3 morning pick me ups . Please feel free to share your top 3 morning pick me up's with me in the comments below, or share it on your blog and link me to it so I can check it out.

Happy almost fall ya'll :]

A Child's Goodbye

I don't know what is harder, watching your child say good bye to a friend or having to explain to her that it will happen time and time again.

We are a military family but I don't want to make this that kind of post. I am a huge fan of military lifestyle posts. It's what I can relate to the most, but saying goodbye is not a military thing, it's a life thing. I have said countless goodbyes to friends and family members and some goodbyes are harder then others .  I remember being a little girl and having to say good bye and how it was so much more felt back then. I guess you could consider me a big girl now when it comes to certain emotions.

I myself tend to be a happy person, as is my daughter. I only really cry during movies or if someone who is super close to me dies, and even then I cry for all of 5 minutes and then I look on the brighter side of things and get on with my day. I have tried explaining to my daughter that it is ok to say goodbye to a friend because that gives her room to make more, and just because they are moving does not mean she won't see them again. How else do you put something like that? But the tears still flow and the conversations never get easier.

We are only 4  years into this military life and are hoping for 20+ more. So I guess you could say there are going to be a lot of goodbyes. I am thankful she is only 6 right now so maybe this journey will get easier. And well thank goodness for facebook, instagram, twitter, facetime and so on, so at least when she gets old enough to responsibly use any of those she can keep in contact with her friends so much easier.

I know this is a choppy post, it was more of what is going on today then an actual statement about anything :] I hope you all have a blessed week .
